So many of us live in a perpetual state of focusing on what we don’t have versus looking around us and appreciating what we do have. This week we are going to work on being in the present moment and appreciate all that is already around us.
Day 1

Take a few minutes to watch the video on gratitude and happiness then create My Grateful Gifts List.
After watching the video take a few minutes and write down what gifts you are thankful for around you. They might be found in nature, relationships, personal health, spirituality or in the community you live in. You will reference this list next week, so keep it close by. We will call this My Grateful Gifts List.
Day 2-7

Reflection.
Sometimes the days go by so fast we don’t take time to reflect and notice the things that we are experiencing that we can be grateful for. Over the next few days you will be challenged to take a photo a day of something that you come across that you are grateful for.
This is how Hailey Bartholomew found the secret to her happiness. After struggling to enjoy and appreciate all of the great things in her life, she set out on a yearlong photo project to find gratitude every day.
At the end of your week go back through the photos from the past 6 days. Reflect on moments that brought you peace, joy, laughter, amazement, love or just pure happiness; things that made you feel grateful. What are the beautiful gifts around you that you were missing before?
